Mecha 'Deca-02' - Fire Team

Thrilled to present 'Deca-02', a stylized hard-surface mecha designed for an upcoming video game. This project was a fantastic opportunity to create a unique character model from the ground up in Blender. My goal was to craft a heavy-duty, combat-ready unit with a distinct visual identity, including the 'Fire Team' insignia.

This model was created with a focus on game-ready optimization, ensuring a clean topology and an efficient mesh suitable for real-time rendering. The design combines blocky, powerful forms with sharp angles and detailed accents, giving the mecha a sense of both strength and agility.

My workflow included:

Concept & Modeling: Translating a vision for a heavy assault mecha into a solid 3D model.

Hard-Surface Detailing: Focusing on panel lines, vents, and other structural details to enhance the realistic feel of the machine.

Material & Lighting: Using procedural materials to achieve the metallic, slightly worn look, and setting up lighting to highlight the intricate forms.

This project was a great exercise in character design and hard-surface modeling, and I am proud to have this piece be a part of a future game title. Hope you enjoy the work!
